GB Lions role for Pirates Head Coach (18 Dec 2011) We're delighted to share the news that Pirates Head Coach Andrew Mackintosh has been appointed to the role of adult kitted Offensive Coordinator for the newly revitalised GB Lions National Programme. The announcement quite rightly describes this as a 'superb appointment', so well done Andy. Please join us in congratulating him! (18 Nov 2011) The East Kilbride Pirates are gearing up to take part in a sponsored weight lift to raise funds for the club. The challenge takes place on Saturday at SuperHero Fitness in Glasgow and will see a number of players from Scotland 's number one American Football team attempt to lift 20 tonnes each across a series of different weightlifting exercises. Open try out sessions announced ( 05 Nov 2011) If you'd like to join Scotland's Number one team, head along to the John Wright Sports Centre on Sunday 4 or Sunday 11 December from 2-4pm. You'll get the chance to find out more about playing for the Pirates, meet the coaches and some of the team and try some of the drills used in the game.
