Junior American Football Team

The East Kilbride Pirates Junior team was formed in 2013 and welcomes boys and girls aged 16-19. We play an eight man contact version of the sport and compete in the Scottish Junior Conference of the British American Football Association's National Leagues against Clackmannanshire Ravens, Lanarkshire Longhorns, Edinburgh Wolves, and the Highland Wildcats.

Training takes place on Sundays from 12.30-3pm at Duncanrig High School in East Kilbride, and from May onwards on Thursdays from 7-9pm on the grass rugby pitch at Hamilton Palace Sports Ground.

Costs and equipment

We will supply all necessary playing equipment and team uniform - all you'll need is suitable practice clothing and footwear and a gumshield. There will be a subs charge of £15 per month. This will cover expenses for training, gamedays, equipment and other running costs. In addition, players are required to be registered with the league each year for competition and insurance purposes. This currently costs £23.50.
